Design Process
In my visual effects class at Humber College, we learned how to turn a 2D image into 2.5D using the Ken Burns Effect. I simply used a screenshot from my Animal Crossing: New Horizons game, made 2 separate layers - one for character & one for the background. The background layer I used the Spot Healing Brush & Clone Stamp tool to recreate the background where the character was. Once complete, I took the images into After Effects to make a 3D video & created a camera movement.
As mentioned prior in the Photo Retouching section, I love using these two tools in Photoshop. I found this to be a fun assignment combining my love for Photoshop & After Effects. A challenge is to find a camera movement to fit the theme. For mine, I wanted to focus on an animal in my town then zoom out to my character.
