In my prior position at Lamin-8 Services as a Large Format Printer & Graphic Designer, it is crucial to be able to be prepared for all sorts of pieces clients may bring in. One client in particular wanted his approximately 30x40" art piece made into a digital copy. The only problem is that the scanners only allow around 8.5x10" to scan at once. As a result, this task required some problem solving and photoshop skills.
My co-worker who manages small format printing scanned 18 different angles of this one art piece to ensure we had enough to work with. Once he scanned it, I took the initiative to put the jigsaw puzzle back together. It took some time and patience to get the results I was pleased with. One major challenge I faced was that the light wasn't the same for every scan. As a result for some photos, I had to adjust the lighting to. Once this was done, I used Spot Healing Brush & Clone Stamp to blend the images together.
